Review: Cosmedic AlphaQ Brightening Face wash

A brightening facewash is a must in every Indian girl’s daily beauty regimen. While there are many face washes that are available in the stores, it ultimately falls upon us to buy the best one in the market. Previously, I have reviewed 2 Cosmedic products, which are, a body wash and a cleanser. Today, I’m about to review their AlphaQ Brightening Face wash.

Packaging and ingredients:

The body wash and the cleanser have not disappointed me, so I had high hopes when I picked up this product and safe to say, I wasn’t. The product comes encased in a small forest green colored packet. The bottle inside it is also quite small which makes it easier to carry in your handbag, if you want. It is conveniently fitted with a small nozzle which saves you from the effort of repeatedly pressing the bottle to get a sufficient amount of liquid. This face wash is uniquely designed for the Indian skin which suffers from a lot of pigmentation. It contains AlphaQ complex with 4% alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA’s) which are popularly used by dermatologists for skin peels and is also used in spas. This ingredient reduces the signs of aging and wrinkles that appear prematurely on our skin due to the harsh sun. It balances the skin’s ph level and is free of harmful ingredients like steroids, hydroquinone and other demelanizing agents.

Product in use:

The consistency of the face wash is thin because it is a water based product. You need to be a bit careful or you may spill an extra amount onto your hand. The nozzle doesn’t leak which is a good point if you wish to carry it around with you. The liquid is white in color and has a sparkly quality to it. The ingredients that are present in the product are good for the skin and make sure that it is saved from the perils of pigmentation. The only difficult part is that the face wash doesn’t lather that much, so while applying it I felt that it may not work as anticipated. But after I washed it off my skin, I noticed that my skin was considerably less dull and remained moisturized. It has a bit of a tangy smell to it upon usage which lessens after some time and becomes soothing.

Why I would recommend it?

I would most definitely recommend this product to all the people who have sensitive skin which suffers in harsh Indian sun. This product causes zero irritation and is hypoallergic and non cosmedogenic (doesn’t cause breakouts). It restores the skin’s ph balance without compromising on the skin barrier and cleanses without drying. It is free of harmful chemicals like steroids, hydroquinone and bleaching agents which are mostly found in most skin brightening products. The face wash, like all other Cosmedic products is animal cruelty free and vegan. Overall, this product is highly suitable for people with sensitive skin and can also be used regularly by people with normal or oily skin.
